About Simona

Simona Burshteyn trained first as a social scientist and later as a lawyer. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Florida International University and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University. Those academic choices gave her a blend of perspectives on people, institutions and the systems that shape daily life.

She joined First Legal P.A. as a lawyer and has practiced there since. Her work at the firm involves representing clients in matters across state lines. Burshteyn is admitted to practice in both Florida and New Jersey, a dual jurisdiction that shapes the cases she takes and the advice she gives.

Her time in law practice has been spent advising individuals and entities on a variety of legal issues. She works from the firm’s offices in Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale and Coral Gables, meeting clients and handling filings in courts and agencies in the region. Colleagues describe her as methodical. She approaches each file by sorting facts from assumptions and then mapping out the next procedural steps.

Burshteyn’s undergraduate background in sociology and anthropology informs how she frames legal problems. She often considers how social dynamics and institutional rules interact. That perspective can change how a case is prepared and presented. Her legal training at Nova Southeastern University supplied the doctrinal framework and practical skills she now applies day to day.

Outside the courtroom and client meetings, she maintains professional connections in the legal community. She holds current professional memberships and stays active in forums that address procedural developments and regulatory changes. That ongoing engagement helps her keep current on practice shifts that affect clients in Florida and New Jersey.

Clients retain her for counseling, negotiations and representation in administrative or judicial proceedings. She balances attention to the details of statutes and filings with an awareness of the broader context surrounding each client’s circumstances. She practices law from offices in Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale and Coral Gables and regularly represents clients in matters arising in Florida and New Jersey.
