About Shirley
Shirley Chienhsi Wang is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Wang is the founder of Saber Law Group, a woman and certified minority-owned law firm located at 101 Howard Street, Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94105. She has been practicing law for over twenty-nine years, serving clients throughout California.
Ms. Wang earned her Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law in 1996. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of Washington, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992, graduating magna cum laude and being inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. During her time at NYU, she developed a strong foundation in legal principles that have guided her throughout her career.
Ms. Wang concentrates her practice in the areas of employment law and litigation. She represents employers and senior management in matters involving workplace discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and sexual harassment claims. Her practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. Wang has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Francisco, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding Saber Law Group, she worked as an associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, focusing on employment, general commercial, and securities fraud cases. She also helped establish the employment law practice group at the San Francisco office of Preston Gates & Ellis (now K&L Gates), where she concentrated on both employment law counseling and litigation.
Ms. Wang is an active member of the California State Bar Association. She is also a certified mediator through the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation program. Ms. Wang is fluent in English and conversational Mandarin, allowing her to serve the diverse communities of California effectively.
