About Shea
Shea Crosby trained as a lawyer after studying computer information and law in the South. She earned a B.S. in Computer Information from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Those academic years gave her a mix of technical and legal thinking that shows up in how she approaches casework.
Her first exposure to courtroom and clerkship work came early. In 2011 she served as a law clerk for Benton County Judge Schrantz, an experience that introduced her to local court procedures and judicial writing. She moved into clinical work while in law school, serving as a student lawyer in the UOA Legal Clinic in 2012 and taking on bankruptcy matters as a student lawyer in 2013.
After graduation she took on public-interest roles that shaped much of her practice. In 2013 she worked with Legal Aid of Arkansas through an AmeriCorps placement focused on veteran services. The following year she served as an Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Legal Fellow, working on employment opportunities. Those positions involved direct client work, intake, and representation for people with limited access to counsel.
By 2016 Crosby was in private practice as a lawyer at Martin Lawyers, P.A. That period consolidated the skills she had developed in clinics and public service. She is a current member of the Arkansas State Bar and is licensed to practice in Arkansas. Her background weaves together courtroom experience, clinic work, and public-interest representation.
Crosby practices in Arkansas and draws on her experience with veterans’ legal services and employment-related matters when handling client cases. Her work reflects a progression from student clinics and clerkships to AmeriCorps placements and private practice, and she continues to serve clients in Arkansas courts and administrative matters.
