About Shane Christian
Shane Christian Sidebottom trained at Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University, earning his J.D. in 1999. He later obtained a mediator certification from the same law school. His legal education laid the groundwork for a practice that spans state and federal courts.
Sidebottom's career began in private practice at Bartlett & Weigle, LPA, where he worked in 2000. He moved to Wolnitzek & Rowekamp, PSC in 2003 and is listed as a member of Ziegler & Schneider, PSC as of 2015. Over the years he has combined firm work with service to local legal institutions. In 2009 he served as the 6th District Representative on the Kentucky CLE Commission. In 2017 he held the presidency of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association, an organization he has been involved with since 2001.
He is admitted to practice in Kentucky and Ohio, and he holds admission to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. Those admissions shape the contours of his courtroom options. They also reflect a practice that has moved between trial courts and appellate dockets.
Community and bar work have been constant threads in Sidebottom’s professional life. He has been a member of the Kentucky Justice Association since 2002 and of the Cincinnati Bar Association since 2000. His peers selected him to lead the Northern Kentucky Bar Association in 2017, a role that required administrative oversight and an attention to continuing legal education. His 2009 role on the Kentucky CLE Commission placed him in a position to influence educational programming for lawyers across the sixth district.
Colleagues and court filings show Sidebottom has balanced client work with mediation and dispute resolution. His mediator certification from Salmon P. Chase College of Law is one formal sign of that interest. He maintains active practice privileges in multiple jurisdictions, which allows him to handle matters that may cross state lines or proceed to federal review.
Today Sidebottom practices at Ziegler & Schneider, PSC. He remains active in local and regional bar organizations and appears in state and federal forums. He currently handles litigation and mediation matters at Ziegler & Schneider, PSC.
