About Seth A.
Seth A. Nayowitz built the foundation for a legal career at two very different schools. He completed a Bachelor of Arts at Yeshiva University, then earned his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Those two institutions shaped the way he approaches problems: a grounding in broad liberal arts inquiry followed by rigorous legal training.
After law school, Nayowitz entered private practice. He joined Raines Feldman LLP, where he has worked on matters that require careful legal research and steady courtroom preparation. His time at the firm has been spent learning the mechanics of litigation and client representation in a firm environment that handles contested matters and negotiated resolutions. As of 2026 he is awaiting admission to the California bar, which will formalize his standing in the state’s courts.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and precise in his work. He places a premium on clear writing and thorough factual development. That approach shows up in how he prepares pleadings and craft arguments for hearings. He balances attention to detail with the practical demands of running a case, aiming to present issues in ways that judges and opposing counsel can readily assess.
Nayowitz’s training at UCLA Law provided exposure to an array of practice areas and procedural practice. During his studies he developed skills in legal analysis, advocacy, and research. Those skills have translated into his day-to-day responsibilities at Raines Feldman LLP, where he assists on litigation matters and contributes to case strategy, discovery, and motion practice. He is comfortable working on team-based matters and engaging directly with clients to understand their objectives and constraints.
Outside of case files, he maintains a steady focus on professional development. He follows changes in statutory and case law that affect the matters he handles and participates in firm discussions about litigation strategy and client counseling. He has been based out of Raines Feldman LLP’s offices and continues to build his practice there. He currently practices at Raines Feldman LLP, handling civil litigation matters in California while awaiting admission to the California bar.
