About Scott Philip
Scott Philip Sigman trained in two different kinds of classrooms. He earned a B.A. in CLEG—Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government—from American University in 1994. He then went on to Temple University, where he received his J.D. in 1998. The trajectory from a broad liberal-arts program into law school shaped the practical approach he brought to court and to the classroom.
Early in his legal career Sigman worked inside the city system. He spent 1999 as a law intern at the Philadelphia District Lawyer s Office and returned there as an Assistant District Lawyer in 2001. Those years gave him steady courtroom time and exposure to criminal procedure. He followed that work with private practice positions that expanded his experience on both sides of the aisle.
By 2005 Sigman was practicing at Bochetto & Lentz, P.C., a period that coincided with growing responsibilities. In 2009 he became a managing member of Sigman & Zimolong, LLC. He later served as a trial lawyer for the Law Offices of A. Charles Peruto, Jr. in 2016. In 2013 he spent time as a judicial law clerk for Hon. Ramy Djerassi, a role that added a judicial perspective to his trial training.
Teaching has been part of his professional life as well. In 2012 he worked as an adjunct professor at Drexel University. The course work he taught drew on real-world litigation experience and classroom methods. Students remember practical case examples and direct advice about procedure and trial craft.
In 2019 he began operating under his own name as a trial lawyer at the Law Offices of Scott Sigman. That step reflected a return to hands-on trial work. He handles trials, prepares witnesses and manages case strategy. He is known around courtrooms for a straightforward style and a steady pace at trial.
Colleagues describe him as practical and workmanlike. He tends to prefer clear, direct advocacy rather than ornate rhetoric. That approach shows in his courtroom work and in how he mentors younger attorneys.
He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and continues to run the Law Offices of Scott Sigman. His current practice concentrates on litigation and trial representation in Pennsylvania courts.
