About Scott M.

Scott M. Welch earned his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law, completing his degree in 2009. He came out of law school at a time when the legal market was shifting, and he moved quickly to establish himself in practicing law in Texas. The foundation of his training at Texas Tech informs the practical approach he brings to client matters.

He was admitted to the Texas bar in 2010 and is also licensed to practice in Missouri. Those admissions mark the formal start of a career that spans two neighboring state systems. Over the years he has handled matters that require attention to both procedural detail and the substantive differences between state laws. He maintains active membership in the Texas State Bar, where his membership dates to 2010.

Colleagues describe Welch as methodical. He works through issues step by step and tends to prioritize clarity in legal documents and courtroom presentations. He has navigated filings, hearings and client consultations in both Texas and Missouri, which has required adapting to local rules and courtroom cultures. His peers have noted that operating across jurisdictions often sharpens an attorney’s practical judgment.

Outside of court, Welch has focused on building a practice that can respond to clients who face legal questions that do not stop at a state line. That has meant coordinating filings, scheduling depositions and advising on compliance matters that differ by state. He pays attention to deadlines and to the procedural mechanics that can determine how a case unfolds. The work demands both steady preparation and a readiness to adjust strategy when new facts emerge.

He practices under the name Welch Law. At Welch Law he handles client matters arising in Texas and Missouri, managing cases from initial intake through resolution. The firm structure allows him to balance individual client needs with the administrative demands of multi-jurisdictional practice. He continues to hold active bar status and to handle the types of matters that commonly present in state courts and administrative settings.

Today he remains in private practice at Welch Law, serving clients in the states where he is licensed and addressing legal issues that cross Texas and Missouri lines.
