About Scott M.
Scott M. Klein combines public-sector experience and private practice in a career that spans more than two decades. He completed his undergraduate studies at Franklin & Marshall College, earning a B.A. in Government in 1997. He stayed in Pennsylvania for law school and received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2001.
Early in his legal career Klein served in the McKean County District Attorney’s Office. Employed as an assistant district lawyer beginning in 2005, he handled matters on behalf of the public and gained courtroom experience in prosecutorial work. That time in public service preceded a move into private practice in the mid-2000s when he joined Reger Rizzo & Darnall LLP as a lawyer in 2007.
Klein’s path led him to Buckley, Brion, McGuire, Morris & Sommer LLP, where he is listed as an associate beginning in 2012. Over the years he has worked on cases that required appearances in both state courts and federal court. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Outside the office Klein has been active in professional and local community groups. He has held membership in the Pennsylvania Bar Association since 2004 and joined the Chester County Bar Association in 2007. Since 2009 he has served as president of the Bradford Pointe Homeowners Association, a role that places him in the mix of neighborhood governance and local concerns.
Colleagues describe Klein as steady and practical. He draws on his experience from the district attorney’s office when preparing cases, and on his time in private firms when advising clients on strategy. He has handled litigation in settings that range from municipal hearings to district court dockets, and he continues to work on matters that require both negotiation and courtroom readiness.
Klein keeps a measured profile. He has built a career by moving between public work and private practice, balancing courtroom responsibilities with client counseling. He maintains active bar memberships and stays engaged in local civic life. He practices at Buckley, Brion, McGuire, Morris & Sommer LLP, handling matters in the state and federal courts where he is admitted.
