About Schuyler
Schuyler Boggio earned his J.D. from Hamline University School of Law in 2015. He completed his undergraduate study earlier, then went on to law school where he developed an interest in criminal law and courtroom practice. His time at Hamline included the practical training typical of that program.
After law school, Boggio began practicing in Wisconsin. He is admitted to practice in that state and has concentrated his work on criminal defense matters. Early in his career he took on a mix of misdemeanor and felony cases, gaining courtroom experience that informs how he approaches investigations, client interviews and motions practice.
Boggio has pursued professional development through local and national groups. Since 2022 he has been a member of the National College for DUI Defense, the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense, and the Dane County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. These memberships reflect an ongoing engagement with peers on litigation techniques, evidentiary issues and evolving case law in DUI and criminal defense.
He practices at Tracey Wood & Associates. At the firm he represents people accused of a range of offenses, from impaired driving to more serious criminal charges. His work involves preparation for trial, negotiating pleas where appropriate, and litigating suppression and evidentiary issues. Colleagues note his preference for careful preparation and clear courtroom presentation rather than headline-making tactics.
Boggio also works on cases that require technical attention to forensic and scientific evidence. That has included cross-examining expert witnesses and coordinating independent testing when needed. He approaches each file by reviewing police reports, seeking out discoverable materials, and mapping defense theories that match the facts of the case.
Outside the courthouse he maintains connections within Wisconsin’s criminal defense community. He participates in continuing legal education and in local meetings that examine recent rulings and practical trial strategies. Those activities keep him current on statutory changes and appellate decisions that affect trial-level practice.
He currently practices at Tracey Wood & Associates in Wisconsin, where he represents clients in criminal and DUI matters and continues to work with professional associations to stay current on defense practice.
