About Sasan
Sasan Nematbakhsh built a path to law from science. He earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from Kennesaw State University in 2010 and completed his J.D. at Georgia State University College of Law in 2016. Those years framed a shift in interests from laboratory work to courts and policy.
Early in his career he worked outside traditional legal practice. In 2012 he served as Business Development Director at Atlanta Pioneers Capital, a role that introduced him to corporate operations and deal-making. He later returned to academic work as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia State University Robinson College of Business in 2014. In 2016 he took a position as a Housing Policy and Development Fellow at Atlanta BeltLine, where law, planning and public policy intersected.
Nematbakhsh became a registered neutral for the Superior Court of Fulton County in 2014. That credential preceded his formal admission to the State Bar of Georgia, where his membership dates from 2017. He opened Nemat Law Office in 2017 and has practiced as a lawyer there since. His practice has included litigation matters and client counseling across state courts.
In 2023 he added mediator and arbitrator to his professional roles, taking on assignments through Miles Mediation & Arbitration. Those positions reflect a practice that balances courtroom representation with dispute resolution. As a neutral, he has handled conferences and settlement procedures under court referral and private panels.
Colleagues describe his background as diverse: science training, business development experience and public policy work all inform the way he assesses cases. That mixture shows up in files that involve contract disputes, landlord-tenant and housing-related issues, and civil litigation where technical facts matter. He has worked on matters that require both legal analysis and practical negotiation.
He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and maintains his law office in the state. His registrations with Fulton County courts and his roles at Miles Mediation & Arbitration position him to serve both litigants and parties seeking neutral evaluation.
Nematbakhsh continues to split his time between representing clients at Nemat Law Office and serving as a mediator and arbitrator. He handles civil litigation, housing and development matters, and alternative dispute resolution in Georgia.
