About Sarah P.
Sarah P. Oberer built a transnational legal resume before settling into Ohio practice. She earned an LL.M. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2015 and later completed an M.S. in Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati in 2019. Those credentials reflect study on both substantive law and the systems that shape criminal justice outcomes.
Her early legal work began in India. In 2013 she served as an assistant lawyer at the High Court of Judicature in Madras. Earlier, in 2012, she completed a legal internship with Cognizant. After relocating to the United States she joined Abdallah and Spring LPA as a lawyer in 2019. The following year she moved to Shur Law, where she has continued her practice through multiple office locations.
Oberer is licensed to practice in Ohio and in the Republic of India, and she is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio. She holds specific court-related credentials: she is Collaborative Law Trained through the Collaborative Family Law Institute and is certified as a Guardian Ad Litem by the Supreme Court of Ohio. Those certifications inform how she approaches certain contested matters and child-related proceedings.
She keeps active ties to local and professional organizations. She holds memberships in the Cincinnati Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association, and she is a member of the Indian American Chamber of Commerce for Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky. Her volunteer work includes roles with University Community World Friends and Little Sisters of the Poor in Cincinnati, and she continues volunteer involvement with a Legal Aid Panel in Chennai.
At Shur Law Co., LPA, Oberer works across several regional offices serving clients in the greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area, as well as other office locations the firm lists. Her practice draws on collaborative law techniques and court appointments as a Guardian Ad Litem. She handles matters that intersect family law procedures and child welfare processes, and she represents clients in state and federal matters appropriate to her admissions. Her current practice centers on family law and related proceedings where collaborative approaches and Guardian Ad Litem services are needed.
