About Simon Wynn
Simon Wynn Johnson followed a path from a liberal arts undergraduate degree into the courtroom. He earned a B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley in 1999. Seven years later he completed his J.D. at Cleveland State University College of Law in 2006. Those academic years shaped his approach to research and argument.
After law school he gained hands-on experience in small law offices. In 2007 he served as a law clerk at Kirschenbaum Law Offices Co. LPA, then spent 2008 clerking for Linton & Hirshman, LLC. Those two positions gave him daily exposure to case preparation, client interviews and courtroom procedure. He moved from the clerkship track to private practice the next year.
In 2009 he established the Law Office of Simon W. Johnson. He has run that practice since then. The firm is a solo office operating in Ohio. Running a one-attorney firm has meant managing both the legal work and the business side. It has also meant direct, sustained contact with the clients he represents.
Johnson is admitted to practice in Ohio and has been involved in the state bar community. He has held membership in the Ohio State Bar Association since 2009 and has belonged to the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association over the same period. Those ties have kept him connected to local developments in law and procedure.
Collegiate study in history and a law degree from an Ohio law school inform his work. He draws on legal research skills established in law school and refined during his early clerkships. The combination of academic training and practical experience has shaped how he approaches case strategy and client counseling.
Over the years his practice has remained anchored in the region where he was trained. He represents clients in Ohio courts and manages matters through his solo office. His current practice centers on providing legal services to individuals and businesses in Ohio through the Law Office of Simon W. Johnson.
