About Sarah O.

Sarah O. Jorgensen built a legal path that starts in the liberal arts and moves through a top law school to firm leadership. She graduated from Swarthmore College in 1990 and earned her J.D. from Harvard University in 1995. Those years set the framework for a career spent practicing in both the District of Columbia and Georgia.

After law school, Jorgensen entered practice in jurisdictions that would later shape her work. She holds current memberships in the District of Columbia Bar and the Georgia State Bar. Those credentials allow her to handle matters that cross state and federal lines and to represent clients who operate in more than one jurisdiction.

In 2018 she became a founding partner of Reichman Jorgensen. As a founding partner she helped establish the firm’s operations and steer its development. Her role encompasses client counseling, case strategy, and the practical tasks of running a law practice. Colleagues describe her as a steady presence in the office and in court, someone who manages both the legal details and the business side of the practice.

Jorgensen’s work spans the kinds of legal problems that arise when matters implicate both local and federal law. She manages litigation and transactional matters that require understanding of law in more than one forum. She often coordinates filings, hearings, and client communications across state lines. Her dual-bar status in Washington, D.C., and Georgia informs how she approaches jurisdictional questions and procedural issues.

Outside of client files, Jorgensen’s career reflects the arc of a lawyer who moved from education into practice and into firm leadership. She draws on her academic training and years of practice to mentor junior attorneys and to shape firm policies. Her colleagues note that her courtroom experience and familiarity with procedural rules in two jurisdictions make her a resource within the firm.

She continues to practice as a founding partner at Reichman Jorgensen, representing clients in legal matters across the District of Columbia and Georgia.
