About Sarah Beth

Sarah Beth Hackman earned both her law degree and undergraduate degree at the University of Louisville. She completed a J.D. at the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 2015 after receiving a B.S. in 2011 in political science with an emphasis in law and public policy. Those years on campus gave her classroom time and exposure to the local legal community in Louisville.

After finishing law school, Hackman began practicing in Kentucky. She is listed as a lawyer at Bahe Cook Cantley & Nefzger PLC, where she has worked on matters that arise in the state’s courts. Her practice has required close work with clients, opposing counsel and court personnel, and she has developed practical courtroom experience through that work.

Hackman maintains memberships in several professional organizations. She is a current member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Kentucky Justice Association and the American Association for Justice. Those affiliations connect her to continuing education, trial practice resources and the broader bar network across the state and region.

Colleagues describe her as thorough in case preparation and attentive to procedural detail. In the office she participates in case planning and strategy sessions, and in court she has handled filings, hearings and trials as part of a team. Her work often involves factual development and presenting evidence to judges and juries, and she has been involved in matters that require coordination across different stages of litigation.

Outside the courthouse, Hackman’s background in political science informs how she communicates complex legal ideas to clients who are unfamiliar with legal processes. That background also shapes her approach to legal research and to explaining the practical consequences of litigation choices. She continues to engage with the legal community through association activities and professional education.

As of 2026, Hackman practices law in Kentucky through Bahe Cook Cantley & Nefzger PLC, where she concentrates her work on litigation in Kentucky courts.
