About Samuel
Samuel Sorensen earned his law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2010. He built his legal foundation there and moved into practice with the regional court system that governs much of the Mountain West. He has long-standing ties to the legal community in Utah and to federal practice in the Tenth Circuit.
He began his professional journey in private practice and rose through firm ranks. In 2018 he became a partner at SEB Legal Lawyers At Law, LLC. His title there is lawyer and partner, a role that combines client work with firm responsibilities. He has held responsibilities typical of a partner, including case strategy, client counseling and supervising associates.
Sorensen is admitted to practice in Utah and the 10th Circuit. That dual admission allows him to handle both state-court matters and federal appeals and filings that cross state lines. He also maintains current memberships in professional organizations that serve lawyers in his region.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation. He favors clear legal writing and careful court filings. In hearings he presents concise arguments and relies on precedent. In client meetings he is direct and practical. These habits reflect a practical approach to litigation and client service rather than theatrical courtroom display.
His caseload has included trial-level matters and appellate work. The mix of state and federal practice requires attention to differing rules and deadlines. He prepares briefs for appellate review and manages discovery and motion practice in trial courts. That range gives him familiarity with multiple phases of litigation, from early case assessment through post-judgment proceedings.
At the firm he balances individual client work with mentorship of junior lawyers. As a partner, he has taken part in firm administration and decision-making on case intake. He also oversees litigation teams when cases require coordinated efforts across attorneys.
Outside the office he participates in professional circles and continuing legal education. He attends programs that keep him current on procedural changes and case law developments affecting Utah and the Tenth Circuit.
He practices at SEB Legal Lawyers At Law, LLC and continues to work on matters in Utah and before the Tenth Circuit.
