About Samantha A.
Samantha A. Guttenberg earned her law degree from DePaul College of Law in 2019 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Business Management at North Central College in 2016. She began building practical courtroom skills while still a student, coaching mock trial at Benedictine University in 2017 and working as a law clerk at Levin & Perconti the same year.
Her earliest legal roles included paralegal and secretarial positions that exposed her to case preparation and client intake. In 2013 she worked as a paralegal intern at Michling Hofmann Plaza & Wick, PC and as a legal secretary in the Law Office of Robert S. Thomas. Those roles preceded her clerkship and eventual admission to practice, and they gave her hands-on experience with litigation files and court procedures.
After graduating from law school and joining Levin & Perconti as an associate in 2019, Guttenberg handled research, drafted pleadings and participated in discovery and motion practice. She next served as a lawyer at Mirabella, Kincaid, Frederick & Mirabella, LLC in 2020, where she continued to develop courtroom skills and client advocacy. In 2022 she joined Langhenry, Gillen, Lundquist & Johnson, LLC as a lawyer, taking on case management and litigation responsibilities.
Throughout her career she has balanced courtroom preparation with client-facing work. Her background in mock trial coaching informs how she prepares witnesses and organizes exhibits. Her time as a law clerk and associate provided regular exposure to drafting, depositions and hearing work. Colleagues describe her as steady in the courtroom and deliberate in written advocacy.
Guttenberg holds membership in the Illinois bar and is active in local professional groups. She belongs to the Chicago Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. These memberships connect her to continuing legal education and local court communities.
Her practice history reflects steady progression from support roles into litigating attorney positions. She has worked in a variety of litigation settings and handled both pretrial and courtroom tasks. At Langhenry, Gillen, Lundquist & Johnson, LLC she handles litigation and trial preparation in matters brought in Illinois courts.
