About TiShaunda
TiShaunda McPherson brings an unusual combination of legal training and social policy education to her work. Her academic path crosses theology, public policy, psychology and law. That background shapes how she approaches clients and cases.
She earned a J.D. from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law after completing a Master of Public Policy at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Earlier degrees include a B.S. in psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana‑Champaign and a Master of Divinity in youth ministry from Garrett‑Evangelical Theological Seminary. Those programs gave her grounding in research methods, advocacy and community engagement long before she stepped into a courtroom.
McPherson serves as senior counsel at Loftus & Eisenberg, Ltd. In that role she works on matters that require both legal analysis and an understanding of broader policy consequences. Colleagues describe her as attentive to factual detail and interested in how legal outcomes affect people beyond individual clients.
Her interdisciplinary education informs the questions she asks when evaluating a case. Training in psychology helps her assess dynamics that often underlie disputes. The public policy degree gives her tools to read statutes and regulations against a backdrop of social outcomes. Past work in youth ministry and ongoing involvement with theological education shape a practical sense of how law touches families and communities.
Outside the office she holds memberships that reflect this mix of interests. She belongs to the State Bar of Illinois and maintains an active relationship with the Children’s Defense Fund. She also serves on the Garrett‑Evangelical Seminary Advisory Council, where she contributes to discussions about training future leaders.
Her résumé does not rely on a single descriptive label. Instead it reads as a series of linked commitments: law, policy and service to vulnerable populations. That combination has guided both the kinds of matters she accepts and the way she frames remedies when she files pleadings or negotiates settlements.
As of 2026 McPherson practices in Illinois as senior counsel at Loftus & Eisenberg, Ltd, handling matters where law, social policy and youth issues intersect.
