About Ryan P.

Ryan P. Kelley took a measured route into law. He left Providence College in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree and completed his J.D. at Suffolk University Law School in 2007. Those classroom years set the stage for a practice that stretches across several New England jurisdictions.

After law school he moved into legal practice in the region. Over time he secured admission to state bars in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He also gained entrance to the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. That collection of admissions reflects a practice that operates in both state and federal settings.

Kelley’s early career combined courtroom exposure and client work. He has managed filings in state and federal courts, prepared pleadings and briefs, and appeared in hearings. His work has required attention to procedural detail and an ability to respond to changing case dynamics. He has handled matters from initial intake through motion practice.

He maintains professional ties across the three states where he is licensed. Those ties include coordinating with local counsel and interacting with the clerks and judges in multiple districts. Practicing in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts federal courts means adapting to different local rules and expectations. That adaptability has been a consistent part of his practice approach.

Kelley’s academic background in Providence and Boston informs how he approaches case preparation. He relies on research and written advocacy. He balances careful legal analysis with practical considerations that clients need. The work often combines bench-oriented motions and client-facing negotiations, and he has overseen both elements in cases handled across his admitted jurisdictions.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in court filings and attentive in client communications. He has continued to develop his practice over the years, remaining active in litigation and courtroom work. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island and in the U.S. District Courts for the District of Massachusetts and the District of Rhode Island, and he currently practices in those jurisdictions.
