About Ryan
Ryan Krocker earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago in 2011. He went on to study law at William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law, completing his J.D. in 2018 after beginning his studies in 2015. Those years shaped his approach to legal analysis and research. They also provided the foundation for the work he would undertake in state courts and in client counseling.
After law school, Krocker entered private practice. He is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and his career has been framed by the demands of those jurisdictions. Colleagues describe him as deliberate; he favors careful preparation over quick answers. That temperament is evident in the way he structures matters and prepares filings.
Early in his career he moved into roles that required thorough legal writing and attention to procedural detail. The work he does often involves sorting through complex statutes and precedents. He draws on classroom training from William & Mary and analytical habits formed during his undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago. Those influences show up in memos, briefs and in client conversations where clarity matters.
At Van Dyck Law he practices alongside a group that handles a range of issues for individuals and businesses. His role at the firm has included drafting pleadings, advising clients on options in contested matters, and engaging with opposing counsel to resolve disputes. He places an emphasis on explaining legal choices in plain language so clients can make informed decisions.
Krocker balances case preparation with a steady cadence of legal research. He tracks recent opinions in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and incorporates shifts in case law into client strategy. That habit of staying current helps when timetables are tight and when persuasive authorities are needed in briefs or hearings.
Outside of individual matters, he pays attention to procedural rules and filing practices that can affect outcomes. Attention to those details, along with clear communication, forms the backbone of his daily practice. He remains based at Van Dyck Law and regularly appears in matters brought in state courts across the two jurisdictions where he is admitted.
He currently practices at Van Dyck Law, representing clients in matters across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
