About Ryan C.

Ryan C. Woodworth earned his law degree from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2010. He finished law school as the first chapter of a career that moved quickly from solo practice to roles in established firms. He set up The Woodworth Law Office in 2011 and served as its managing partner, building a practice that handled a range of civil matters and familiarized him with the local court system.

After several years running his own office, Woodworth joined The Russell Friedman Law Group, LLP as senior counsel in 2019. The move placed him inside a different practice environment and offered exposure to larger, more complex matters. He worked with colleagues on litigation strategy, client counseling and pretrial preparation. That period broadened his experience beyond the responsibilities of a small-firm principal.

In 2024 he became senior counsel at Horn Wright, LLP. The transition reflected a steady professional arc: small-firm founder, experienced litigator, and now a senior attorney within a multi-lawyer firm. Across those posts he has handled matters in both state and federal forums and appeared in courts across New York. He is admitted to practice in New York and has authorization to appear in the Second Circuit as well as the Northern and Western Districts of New York. Those admissions have shaped the types of cases he accepts and the procedural settings in which he operates.

Woodworth maintains membership in several bar organizations. He is a current member of the Monroe County Bar Association, the New York Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Those memberships provide access to continuing legal education and a network of peers. Colleagues describe him as someone who approaches litigation methodically. He prepares written motions and oral arguments and handles discovery tasks with an emphasis on clear factual presentation and adherence to procedure.

Over the years his docket has included civil litigation and related pretrial work. He has moved from managing a solo practice to integrating into larger teams. That progression has changed how he allocates time between client contact, courtroom work and case management. He now practices out of Horn Wright, LLP and continues to take cases in state and federal courts in New York. His current practice focuses on civil litigation matters in those jurisdictions.
