About Ruben
Ruben Honik graduated from Syracuse University in 1977 and earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 1980. His academic path placed him among a generation of lawyers who entered practice in the early 1980s, a period of steady change in civil litigation and trial procedure. The dates mark the start of a long engagement with courtroom work and bar leadership.
Early in his career Honik moved into trial practice and later into firm leadership. In 1998 he became a partner at Golomb & Honik, P.C. The same year he was listed as a founding lawyer of Greitzer and Honik. Those entries in his résumé point to a lawyer who has been involved in building and running firms as well as litigating cases.
His peers tapped him for leadership posts in two regional trial lawyer organizations. He served as president of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association from 1997 to 1998. A decade later he was president of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association for the 2007–2008 term. Those roles involved organizing members, setting agendas for advocacy and education, and representing trial lawyers on policy matters.
Honik is admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. That dual admission has shaped the geography of his work, allowing him to take cases and appear in courts across state lines. Over the years he has balanced courtroom appearances with management duties at the firms where he has held leadership positions.
Colleagues describe a lawyer who is steady in court and familiar with the procedural demands of trial practice. His involvement in trial lawyer associations reflects sustained interest in the institutions that support litigation. He has also been active in the professional life of the region, taking on responsibilities that extend beyond individual cases.
As of 2026 Honik practices at Golomb & Honik, P.C., where he continues to handle civil litigation and trial matters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
