About Ronald K
Ronald K Weiner began his legal path after earning a B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1983 and a J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 1987. He entered the profession at a time when courtroom experience mattered. His education laid a steady foundation for the practical work that followed.
He spent part of his early career in public service as an Assistant Prosecuting Lawyer in Macomb County. That role provided day-to-day trial exposure and a grounding in courtroom procedure. After time in the prosecutor’s office, he moved into private practice and later became a partner at Lipton Law. The transition from public sector trial work to private practice shaped the way he approaches cases.
Throughout his career he has been active in professional organizations. He holds membership in the Michigan Association for Justice and served a term as its president. He also belongs to the American Association for Justice, the Oakland County Bar Association and the Macomb County Bar Association. In 2020 he joined the American Board of Trial Advocates, and he currently lists that affiliation as ongoing. He sits as a hearing panelist on the Lawyer Discipline Board, a role that places him on the other side of controversy and ethics matters in the profession.
Community service has been part of his profile. He serves on the board of Gilda’s Club of Metro Detroit and is a past president of that board. That work has kept him connected to nonprofit networks in the Detroit area and to issues facing cancer patients and their families.
Colleagues describe him as an experienced trial lawyer who has handled cases in both public and private roles. His memberships and panel work reflect sustained engagement with litigation practice and professional oversight in Michigan. He has cultivated courtroom experience over decades and applied that experience across a range of matters while at Lipton Law.
He maintains an active role at Lipton Law, where he practices in Michigan and appears in state courts. His current practice centers on courtroom litigation and trial work on behalf of clients in civil matters.
