About Caroline M.

Caroline M. Whittemore trained first as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan–Dearborn, earning a B.A. in economics and political science in 1997. She stayed in Michigan for law school and received her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in 2001. Those years shaped a practical approach to law. They also grounded her in both policy and the mechanics of courtroom procedure.

After law school Whittemore launched a career in Michigan’s legal community. She has worked on cases that required courtroom appearances and courtroom preparation. Over time her practice has centered on litigation and trial work, the kinds of matters that demand familiarity with rules, evidence and persuasive presentation.

Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing a file and steady in court. She pays attention to the record and the deadlines that control a litigation timeline. She also spends time preparing witnesses and drafting the motions that frame a dispute for a judge or jury. Those tasks are routine in every courtroom, but they are where the outcome of a case often turns.

Outside the courtroom she has handled the practical tasks that keep client matters moving. That includes researching case law, taking depositions and negotiating procedural resolutions when they serve a client’s interest. She has worked with teams that manage complex schedules and large document sets, and she has taken lead roles in trial preparation when cases have proceeded to a jury.

Whittemore’s education in economics and political science informs how she approaches damages and public-facing litigation themes. Her legal training at Wayne State reinforced the procedural skills needed for contested matters. Over the years she has maintained her practice in Michigan courts and continues to work within that jurisdiction.

She is currently an attorney at Giroux Pappas Trial Lawyers. There she handles litigation matters and trial preparation for clients in Michigan. Her current practice focuses on courtroom advocacy and the litigation tasks that precede trial.
