About Ronald J.
Ronald J. Resmini built a career that stretches from classroom to courtroom. He studied at Providence College, earning a B.A. in 1965, then took his law degree from Suffolk University Law School in 1968. Those formative years set the stage for a long practice in civil litigation and trial work.
After law school he served in the U.S. Army Security Agency and held the rank of captain in 1969. He later returned to civilian life and established his own practice. He is the partner and founder of the Law Offices of Ronald J. Resmini, LTD., where he has led a steady practice in accident and injury matters. In 1991 he served as a board examiner for the National Board of Trial Advocacy, a role that reflected his standing among trial lawyers and his interest in credentialing trial skills.
Resmini is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts and has credentials that include admission to the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the U.S. Court of Military Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. Those admissions have allowed him to handle appeals and federal matters tied to his trial practice. Over the years he has combined trial work at the state level with cases that required federal filings and appellate advocacy.
His professional affiliations are extensive. He helped found the Rhode Island Trial Lawyers Association and maintains memberships in the Massachusetts Bar Association, the National Academy of Personal Injury Lawyers, the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Massachusetts Trial Lawyers Association, and Trial Masters. He has also served on the board of the Providence chapter of the American Red Cross.
Colleagues describe him as an experienced trial lawyer who has spent decades representing people injured in accidents. He has balanced courtroom work with organizational involvement that ranges from local civic service to national trial groups. He continues to handle personal injury and accident cases through the Law Offices of Ronald J. Resmini, LTD., representing clients in state and federal courts and in appellate matters when necessary.
He currently focuses his practice on accident and injury litigation, representing plaintiffs in trials and appeals.
