He has also been involved in numerous Internal Revenue Service and state income tax audits and appeals. Prior to joining Fenwick & West LLP, he worked at other law firms specializing in tax law.

Mr. Schrotenboer is an active member of the California State Bar Association. He has been recognized in publications such as "Who's Who Legal" and "Super Lawyers" for his expertise in tax law. He has also contributed to the legal community by writing articles on various tax topics for journals like the Journal of Taxation and Tax Notes.
