About Robert P.
Robert P. Weiner earned his J.D. from The Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law. He built his career on courtroom work and service in trial settings. His legal education set the groundwork for a steady trajectory through state and federal practice.
Early in his career Weiner developed experience handling civil matters in state courts. Over time he expanded his admissions to include Pennsylvania and New Jersey, plus federal courts in the District of New Jersey, the Northern District of Ohio and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Weiner has taken on a mix of roles that place him both inside and beside the courtroom. He has served as Judge Pro Tem on the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, presiding over matters when needed and gaining firsthand insight into judicial decision-making. He also sits as an arbitrator in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Compulsory Arbitration Program, a role that requires clear legal analysis and the ability to distill contested facts into a concise ruling.
Beyond judicial duties, Weiner practices as Of Counsel at the Law Office of Leon Aussprung MD, LLC. In that position he provides counsel on medical-related civil claims and works alongside trial counsel on case evaluation and litigation strategy. His practice has an emphasis on trial preparation and courtroom advocacy, grounded in years of handling contested civil disputes.
Weiner maintains memberships in several professional organizations. He is active in the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, the New Jersey Association for Justice and the Brandeis Legal Society. Those affiliations reflect ongoing engagement with the trial bar and with continuing legal education in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Colleagues describe his work style as methodical. He approaches fact patterns by breaking them into manageable issues. When cases move toward settlement or trial he focuses on efficient preparation and clear presentation. He has balanced roles as an adjudicator and advocate, which informs how he evaluates contested issues.
As Of Counsel at the Law Office of Leon Aussprung MD, LLC, he continues to accept cases that require court-room experience and detailed case management. His current practice centers on civil litigation and matters that intersect with medical-legal issues.
