About Robert

Robert Hjortsberg built his legal foundation at Loyola University New Orleans. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology there and later attended Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he completed his legal studies. Those years in New Orleans shaped his early approach to practice and to the community that would become the stage for his career.

He began working in law firms soon after finishing law school. Records show he was at Martin Regan & Associates in 2007. A few years later he was listed as a lawyer at Jason Williams & Associates in 2009. Those early positions placed him in day-to-day litigation environments, where he handled filings, client interviews and courtroom matters under the supervision of more senior attorneys.

Across those early roles he gained practical courtroom experience. He learned case preparation, how to manage discovery and how to present arguments to judges and juries. The work was often fast-paced. It required attention to procedural detail and steady client communication. Colleagues from that period described him as thorough and steady in the courtroom and the office.

Hjortsberg is admitted to practice in Louisiana. He has spent his professional life in that jurisdiction and understands how local practice rules and court procedures shape strategy and outcomes. His background in psychology informs how he assesses witness testimony and prepares clients for deposition and trial. That combination of legal training and a behavioral perspective has informed how he evaluates evidence and prepares case narratives.

Over time he moved from junior roles into positions that required independent case management. He handled civil matters and courtroom appearances, developed motions, and took part in settlement discussions. His file work shows a steady progression from supervised tasks to leading a case through trial-ready stages. He also maintained client relationships and worked on case strategy with other attorneys in his offices.

Today Hjortsberg continues to practice in Louisiana. He remains active in court proceedings and client advocacy at the state level, representing individuals and handling litigation matters in local courts. He currently practices law in Louisiana, where he represents clients in state courts.
