About Robert
Robert Feisee earned his J.D. from George Mason University in 1993. He came of age as an attorney during a period of rapid change in estate and tax planning law. The degree set the foundation for a steady career in both private practice and legal education.
He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and in Virginia. Over the years he has balanced courtroom work, client counseling and academic duties. He holds a current adjunct professorship at George Mason University School of Law, where he teaches law students while continuing to handle client matters outside the classroom.
Feisee has been active in professional organizations that align with the practice areas he pursues. He serves on the board of the National Network of Estate Planning Lawyers and is a member of the Purposeful Planning Collaboration. Those roles place him among peers who concentrate on planning for families, trusts and end-of-life decisions. He participates in meetings and working groups that examine changes in fiduciary law and planning strategies.
His practice is based at Insight Law. He manages client relationships from intake through plan implementation. That work includes drafting wills and trusts, advising on fiduciary duties and helping clients organize assets to reflect their intentions. He counsels individuals and families about the legal structures that can transfer wealth, protect privacy and reduce the administrative burden on survivors.
As an educator, Feisee brings real-world problems into the classroom. Students encounter the practical choices clients must make and the documentation those choices require. His teaching complements his practice. It also keeps him engaged with new generations of lawyers who will handle estate issues in changing economic and regulatory environments.
Peers who encounter him in professional groups see an attorney who prefers careful analysis over sweeping pronouncements. He writes and speaks occasionally within professional circles on technical questions that affect estate planners. He has maintained a dual role: practitioner and teacher, and he rotates between client meetings, practice management and academic schedules.
He remains active in bar-affiliated and specialty groups that study estate planning trends. His current practice concentrates on estate planning and related matters at Insight Law.
