Robert David Links is a licensed attorney in California, admitted to the State Bar in 1974. He holds bar number 61914 and is currently in inactive status. Mr. Links is a partner at Slote, Links & Boreman, LLP, a law firm located in San Francisco, California. He has been practicing law for over 50 years, serving clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Mr. Links earned his Juris Doctor degree from the UCLA School of Law in 1974. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism in 1971. During his time at UCLA, he participated in the Moot Court Honors Program and was a Roscoe Pound Advocate.
Mr. Links concentrates his practice in the areas of appeals and appellate law, arbitration and mediation, and business law. He represents school administrators, educational institutions, students, parents, and teachers. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Links has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Francisco, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in San Francisco for several years.
Mr. Links is an active member of the California State Bar Association. He served as a legal editor for California Lawyer magazine and website from 2008 to 2018, editing features such as Expert Advice, Client Relations, and MCLE. He is also a published author, having written four books on golf, including "Follow the Wind," "Riverbank Tweed & Roadmap Jenkins: Tales from the Caddie Yard," "Golf Poems," and "Alister MacKenzie's Legacy of Public Golf at Sharp Park." Mr. Links is fluent in English and has a working knowledge of Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of the San Francisco Bay Area effectively.
