About Robert C Barchiesi

Robert C Barchiesi II earned his law degree at Rutgers School of Law–Newark. He left law school with a grounding in courtroom procedure and state-level practice that would shape the early years of his career. The classroom and the clinic offered him different perspectives on litigation and client counseling, and he carried both into his first professional roles.

He has been a member of the State Bar of Pennsylvania since 2019. That membership has been a through line as he moved between public sector posts and private practice. Early work in government settings exposed him to prosecutorial and defense angles. Those experiences inform how he approaches facts and counsel clients today.

In 2022 Barchiesi joined the Virgin Islands Department of Justice as an Assistant Lawyer General. The post placed him in a government law office handling matters on behalf of the territory. The following year he moved back to the mainland and served as an Assistant Public Defender with the Monroe County Public Defenders Office. That role involved courtroom appearances, client interviews and case preparation on behalf of people facing criminal charges. The shift from one public position to another gave him a practical sense of how different offices manage similar problems under varying constraints.

After those public sector roles he established Barchiesi Law PLLC. The firm is the current base for his practice. He has taken cases arising from his work in public offices and from private clients who seek experienced courtroom representation. His background spans government litigation, defense advocacy and client counseling, and he draws on that mix when evaluating new matters.

Colleagues describe him as someone who prioritizes clear legal thinking and steady preparation over theatrical courtroom gestures. He tends to break a case down into its parts and work through them methodically. That approach is evident in the way he prepares for hearings and in the written motions that come from his office.

Outside the courtroom he participates in bar activities and maintains ties to professional peers in Pennsylvania. Those connections supply practical feedback on litigation strategies and keep him engaged in the local legal community.

He continues to operate Barchiesi Law PLLC, handling matters that reflect his public-sector background and trial experience. His current practice handles criminal defense, government-related matters and civil litigation.
