About Robb C.
Robb C. Bigelow began his legal path at Vanderbilt. He earned a B.A. in 1999 and returned to Vanderbilt University Law School for his J.D., awarded in 2002. Those years in Nashville shaped his grasp of local courts and practice culture. He left law school equipped for clerking and private practice alike.
His first position after law school was as a law clerk to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee in 2002. The clerkship placed him inside the federal courthouse and gave him daily exposure to litigation procedures and judicial decision-making. After a period in practice, he joined Dickinson Wright PLLC as a partner in 2009. That role expanded his responsibilities and placed him in a leadership seat at a regional firm.
In 2015 Bigelow shifted course again, establishing Bigelow Legal, P.C. The move returned him to a smaller, more personal practice setting. He has maintained an active presence in the Nashville legal community while running his own firm. He holds admission to practice in Tennessee and is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Middle, Eastern, and Western Districts of Tennessee.
Bigelow’s professional affiliations reflect continued ties to local institutions. He is a member of the Nashville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association. He also belongs to the Harry Phillips Inn of Court and serves on the board of the Tennessee Justice Center. Those memberships place him in regular contact with trial judges, fellow litigators, and nonprofit advocates in the state.
Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who moves between court calendars and client meetings with steady attention to procedure. He has combined his early federal clerkship experience with years in private practice. That background informs how he prepares filings and manages case strategy. Clients at Bigelow Legal, P.C. work with him on matters that require familiarity with both state court systems and Tennessee’s federal districts.
He continues to practice law in Nashville. He is active in bar groups and the Inn of Court, and he serves on the board of a state justice organization. He currently practices at Bigelow Legal, P.C., handling matters in Tennessee state courts and in the Middle, Eastern, and Western Districts of Tennessee.
