About Rob

Rob Goldman completed his undergraduate studies at Tufts University, earning a B.A. in Anthropology and History in 1995. He went on to Emory University School of Law and received his J.D. in 1998. Those years shaped his legal instincts and grounded him in both the human dimensions and doctrinal rigors of the law.

His career spans work in multiple jurisdictions. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Georgia, and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. Over the years he has worked in roles that required moving between state and federal forums, which has given him fluency in procedural and appellate practice across different systems.

Colleagues describe him as precise in his approach to briefing and courtroom presentation. He has handled matters that demanded careful statutory analysis and attention to precedent. He has also overseen filings in courts where strategic sequencing and timing matter, including appeals and federal petitions.

Goldman’s academic background factors into his professional work. His study of anthropology and history at Tufts contributes to an interest in context—how institutions and facts fit together. The training at Emory sharpened his legal research and writing. Together they inform how he evaluates disputes and prepares cases for litigation or review.

Throughout his practice, he has moved between trial-level matters and appellate filings. He is comfortable preparing comprehensive records, drafting dispositive motions, and assembling appellate briefs. He has coordinated with co-counsel, managed procedural deadlines, and worked on cross-jurisdictional issues that require awareness of both state and federal rules.

Outside the courtroom, he has been involved in professional communities that bridge the regions where he is admitted. He keeps current on developments in case law and procedure in jurisdictions where his clients have matters pending. He also advises clients on the practical implications of litigation strategies and the potential impacts of appeals.

Today he continues a practice that spans the District of Columbia, Maryland and Georgia and includes admission to the U.S. Supreme Court. He focuses on litigation and appellate work across those jurisdictions.
