About Richard W. Bryans

Richard W. Bryans Jr. built a legal foundation at Regis University and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He earned a B.S. at Regis and a J.D. at Denver. Those years shaped his approach to litigation and courtroom work.

He is admitted to practice in Colorado, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those admissions allow him to handle matters at both trial and appellate levels. He has developed a practice that spans state and federal forums.

Early in his career he moved into courtroom practice. Over time he cultivated experience in litigation and appellate procedure. He represents clients in contested hearings, trials, and appeals, and he prepares filings for higher courts when cases require further review.

Courtroom work is part skill and part preparation. He applies that principle when preparing briefs and presenting oral arguments. His work requires attention to procedural detail, an understanding of appellate standards, and the ability to frame legal questions for judges.

At the same time he stays connected to developments in federal and state law. Admission to the Tenth Circuit and the Supreme Court means he can pursue relief beyond the trial level when warranted. That capability shapes how he evaluates cases and advises clients about options at each stage.

He practices at Gaiennie Law Office. There he handles matters that proceed in Colorado courts and in federal court when federal jurisdiction applies. His role can include drafting pleadings, arguing motions, and managing appeals. He works with clients to map a course through litigation, weighing the risks and benefits of different strategies.

Outside the courtroom he maintains the procedural work that underpins successful litigation: research, drafting, and the negotiation of procedural deadlines and filings. Those tasks often determine whether an issue survives to be considered on appeal.

As a lawyer admitted to practice before the nation’s highest court and key regional and state courts, he brings courtroom experience and appellate capability to his work. He remains active in cases filed in Colorado and in federal courts within the Tenth Circuit. His current practice centers on litigation and appellate work in Colorado and federal courts.
