About Richard
Richard Soldano earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2018 after completing a bachelor’s degree at the State University of New York’s College of Technology at Farmingdale in 2011. His academic path combined technical undergraduate training and three years of legal study in New York City. He graduated at a time when courts and clients were adjusting to new technology-driven workflows, an environment that shaped his entry into practice.
He began his legal career as an associate at Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf. At the firm he joined the litigation team and worked on matters that required appearances in both state and federal courts. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, and he holds admission to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. That mix of admissions allows him to handle filings and hearings across a broad geographic and procedural range.
His courtroom work covers typical civil litigation tasks: drafting pleadings, briefing motions, conducting discovery and preparing witnesses. He has been part of teams that manage complex dockets and coordinate with co-counsel. He regularly moves between office-based case preparation and court appearances, balancing research and client contact. Peers who have worked with him note his courtroom readiness and his familiarity with federal procedure.
Outside his day-to-day casework, he is active in professional organizations. He maintains memberships in the Federal Bar Council, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the New York City Bar Association. Those memberships provide him opportunities to stay current on procedural developments and to engage with colleagues across practice areas. He has attended CLE programs and association meetings that address changes in evidence practice and motion procedure.
Colleagues describe his practice as steady and procedural. He brings the practical habits learned during his time at a multi-practice firm to client matters. He is comfortable handling the administrative demands of litigation, from calendaring complex discovery schedules to preparing motions for emergency relief where needed. He also assists in trial preparation when cases progress to that stage.
As a lawyer admitted to multiple courts and active in several bar organizations, he continues to handle civil litigation in both state and federal forums. He currently practices at Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf, where he represents clients in trial and pretrial proceedings across New York and New Jersey.
