Richard Paul Zaretsky was a distinguished board-certified real estate and business attorney based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1976, he also had the privilege of practicing before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. In addition to his legal practice, he was actively involved in multiple business ventures, including the ownership of Zemaso Management Company, which specialized in bridge loan lending. He also managed Somax Management, Medical Education Corporation, Level 9 Realty, and Automated Land Title Company, the latter of which conducted real estate closings. Community engagement was a significant aspect of Zaretsky's life. He served as past President of the Palm Beach Rotary and held leadership roles in the Palm Beach Region of the American Technion Society, where he was a National Board Member for ten years.

His commitment to public service extended to local media, as he served on the board of WXEL TV & Radio, a PBS and NPR affiliate, as well as the Community Broadcast Foundation of the Palm Beach & Treasure Coast. In 2007, he contributed to the City of West Palm Beach as an Advisory Board Member. Zaretsky's dedication to his community was also evident in his involvement with various religious and educational organizations. He was a National Advisory Board member of Widener University and participated on the boards of Temple Beth El and Palm Beach Synagogue. Additionally, he was a member of Temple Emanuel and served on the board of the Palm Beach Jewish Day School. His legal expertise was further utilized as part of the legal team for the Anti-Defamation League, and he actively supported Israeli Bonds, raising significant funds through community drives.

Richard Paul Zaretsky passed away in 2022, leaving behind a legacy of contributions to both the legal profession and the community. He is survived by his wife, Carole, and their son, Max. He was predeceased by his son, Lionel N. Zaretsky, who passed away in 2011. Zaretsky's impact on his clients, community organizations, and the legal field continues to resonate, reflecting a life dedicated to service and excellence.
