About Richard Michael

Richard Michael Jurewicz has practiced law in Pennsylvania for decades. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1975 from Pennsylvania State University - Dickinson School of Law and received his J.D. from Temple University in 1980. Those years set the foundation for a long legal career centered in the commonwealth.

He moved into private practice soon after law school. Early work built practical courtroom and client skills. By 1984 he had advanced to a senior partnership at Galfand Berger L.L.P., a role he has held for many years. That position placed him in a leadership role within the firm and involved him in both case strategy and firm governance.

Throughout his career he has maintained active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and remains involved in the state’s legal community. Membership in the bar has been a constant in his professional life and has shaped how he approaches ethical and procedural responsibilities.

Colleagues describe him as steady and practical in the courtroom, preferring clear legal argument over theatrical presentation. He has handled a range of matters over time, and his long tenure as a senior partner suggests familiarity with litigation management and mentoring younger attorneys. He has been part of a firm environment for the majority of his career, which means much of his work has included supervising case teams and participating in firm-level decision making.

Outside formal titles, his work reflects the routines of an experienced practitioner: preparing briefs, arguing motions, advising clients on procedural options, and managing complex case logistics. He has practiced through several decades of change in Pennsylvania law and court procedure. That continuity has given him a long view of how legal strategies evolve and how to adapt them to shifting rules and precedents.

As of 2026 he continues to serve as a senior partner at Galfand Berger L.L.P. and practices law in Pennsylvania. His current practice focuses on serving clients through the firm’s Pennsylvania offices.
