Richard Michael Aaron is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1979. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Aaron is a partner at Fennemore Dowling Aaron, a full-service law firm located in Fresno, California. He has been practicing law for over 46 years, serving clients throughout Central California.
Mr. Aaron earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he graduated in 1979. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Southern California, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance in 1976. During his time at USC, he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society recognizing academic excellence in business studies.
Mr. Aaron concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, trust administration, and probate law. He represents individuals and families in matters involving the creation of wills and trusts, estate tax planning, and the administration of estates and trusts after death. His practice encompasses all stages of these processes, including initial consultations, document preparation, trust funding, and probate proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Aaron has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Fresno and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining Fennemore Dowling Aaron, he was a partner at Dowling Aaron Incorporated, a firm established in 1977 that merged with Fennemore Craig in 2020 to form Fennemore Dowling Aaron.
Mr. Aaron is an active member of the California Lawyers Association, where he participates in the Business Law Section and the Trusts and Estates Section. He is also a certified specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the State Bar of California. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Aaron serves as an arbitrator on the Judicial Arbitration Panel for Fresno County and is a member of the American Arbitration Association Panel. He has been a lecturer for the California Continuing Education of the Bar and is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Central California effectively.
