Jared Reed Callister is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar on February 2, 2007,. Mr. Callister earned his Juris Doctor degree from George Mason University School of Law in 2006, graduating cum laude. He furthered his legal education by obtaining a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation with distinction from Georgetown University Law Center in 2007. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance, also cum laude, in 2003.

Mr. Callister's practice areas include business and corporate law, with a focus on corporate, partnership, and real estate transactions and taxation. He assists businesses and their owners with entity formation, operation, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and dissolutions. Additionally, he provides business and individual tax planning, estate planning, and taxation services for exempt organizations. His expertise encompasses all stages of legal work, including negotiations, litigation, and appeals.

Throughout his career, Mr. Callister has represented clients before various courts, including the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, the United States Tax Court, and the United States Bankruptcy Court. Before joining Fishman, Larsen & Callister, he served as an attorney-adviser to the Honorable Stephen J. Swift of the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C., where he assisted in the research and drafting of complex opinions on issues such as family limited partnerships, charitable trusts, and defined value gifts.

Mr. Callister is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Fresno Estate Planning Council, the State Bar of California, and the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. He is also involved in the Trusts and Estates Section and the Taxation Section of the State Bar of California, as well as the Estate Planning Section of the Fresno County Bar Association, where he has served as co-chair. He is fluent in English and Spanish, enabling him to effectively serve the diverse communities of the Fresno area.
