About Richard J McKyton
Richard J McKyton P.A. built a legal career that began in courtrooms and evolved into private practice. He read political science at the University of Florida, finishing his undergraduate degree in 1992. He then turned to law, earning his law degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1993. Those early years set the pace for a steady, decades-long presence in Florida's legal community.
After law school he entered public service. In 1995 he joined the State Lawyer's Office for the Sixth Judicial Circuit as an Assistant State Lawyer. That role placed him in the day-to-day work of the circuit and gave him courtroom experience early in his professional life. He moved to private practice in the late 1990s, joining the firm Abbey, Adams, Byelick, Kiernan, Mueller and Lancaster, LLP in 1998. In 2001 he began practicing under the name McKyton Law. Over the years he has maintained a presence in Florida's bar, listed as a licensed lawyer of the Florida Bar.
