About Richard David
Richard David Lebovitz completed his undergraduate studies at Emory University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in economics and political science in 1985. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law in 1989. Those formative years set the stage for a career spent largely in private practice and courtroom work.
Lebovitz moved into private practice soon after law school. By 1992 he was a partner at Lebovitz & Lebovitz, P.A., a role that positioned him to take on a broad array of matters and to manage the daily work of a small firm. He later joined Miller & Miller, P.A. as an associate in 2006 and then Berman, Sobin, Gross, Feldman & Darby, LLP in 2007. In 2010 he served of counsel to Maslan, Maslan & Rothwell, P.A., before establishing Lebovitz Law, LLC in 2015.
Across those roles he handled litigation and casework typical of a lawyer practicing in multiple jurisdictions. His resume reflects steady involvement in both firm leadership and associate-level practice. The shift from partner to roles at other firms, and then to of counsel and solo practice, suggests a combination of courtroom and client-centered work carried out over several decades.
He is admitted to practice in Maryland, the Federal Circuit and Pennsylvania. He has been active in regional legal organizations for many years. Lebovitz has been a member of the Baltimore City Bar Association and the Baltimore County Bar Association since 2006, and he joined the Maryland Association for Justice in 2007. He also holds membership in the Maryland State Bar Association since 2006. Those memberships indicate ongoing engagement with the legal community and continuing professional connections across the state and city levels.
Lebovitz maintains an office under the name Lebovitz Law, LLC. He continues to handle matters that take him before state and federal tribunals in Maryland and Pennsylvania, and occasionally matters that reach the Federal Circuit. He currently practices at Lebovitz Law, LLC, representing clients in matters before state and federal courts in Maryland, the Federal Circuit and Pennsylvania.
