About Andrew

Andrew Gross earned his undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 2005 and completed his J.D. at the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2008. He made a steady transition from law school into public service. The years following graduation set the course for a career that would weave between military service and private practice.

Soon after law school, Gross joined the U.S. Army as a judge advocate officer in 2009. That role placed him inside the military justice system at a formative stage of his career. He served as part of the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, shouldering responsibilities typical of JAG officers and gaining exposure to legal processes that apply to service members and military operations.

After his time in uniform, Gross moved into civilian practice. He worked as an associate at Bodie, Dolina, Hobbs, Friddell, & Grenzer, P.C., beginning in 2017. The following year he took an associate position with the Law Offices of Evan K. Thalenberg, P.A., where he continued to develop his work as a practicing attorney. Those years in law firms rounded out the experience he had acquired in the military and introduced him to the routines of private legal practice.

Gross is licensed to practice in both Maryland and the District of Columbia. He maintained steady involvement in client representation through roles in established firms before choosing to operate his own practice. Today he heads the Law Office of Andrew P. Gross. The office handles matters for individuals and entities that seek a lawyer admitted in the mid-Atlantic jurisdictions where he is licensed.

Colleagues describe him as practical and methodical in his approach to legal problems. He has moved between institutional settings and solo practice, and that trajectory shows in the way he organizes his caseload and client consultations. He blends experience from government service with the procedural demands of civil practice.

He continues to work out of his private practice, serving clients in Maryland and the District of Columbia. He currently focuses his practice on representing clients who require counsel from an attorney admitted in those jurisdictions.
