About Reza
Reza Athari is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1996. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Athari is the managing attorney at Reza Athari & Associates, a multijurisdictional law firm with offices in Las Vegas, Nevada, and San Diego, California. He has been practicing law for over 25 years, serving clients throughout the United States and internationally.
Mr. Athari earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tehran in 1974. Prior to his admission to the California Bar, he practiced law outside the United States, gaining international legal experience. This diverse background has equipped him with a broad perspective on legal matters, particularly in immigration and international law.
Mr. Athari specializes in immigration and nationality law, providing services such as deportation and removal proceedings, asylum applications, and assistance with non-immigrant and immigrant employment-based visas. His practice encompasses all stages of legal proceedings, including hearings, appeals, litigation, negotiations, and trials. He is a Certified Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law by the State Bar of California's Board of Legal Specialization, a designation he has held since 2004.
Throughout his career, Mr. Athari has been admitted to practice before several courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 10th Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of California. He has also appeared before various state courts, handling a wide range of cases in immigration law. His extensive experience allows him to effectively represent clients in complex legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.
Mr. Athari is an active member of the State Bar of California and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). He is fluent in English and Farsi and has working knowledge of German and Spanish, enabling him to serve a diverse clientele.
