About Regina
Regina Fitzpatrick earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 1998 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies at the State University of New York at Albany in 1994. Her academic training combined a humanities background with professional legal preparation. The sequence of degrees set a foundation for early entry into private practice and court work in New York.
Her first recorded position in private practice came in 2002 when she joined Larkin, Axelrod, Trachte & Tentenbaum, LLP as an associate. Two years later she moved to Mainetti, Mainetti & O’Connor, P.C., also serving as an associate. In 2004 she undertook pro bono representation in Family Court, handling matters on behalf of clients who required legal assistance outside of billable engagements. Those early years mixed firm-based associate work and court-side client representation.
Fitzpatrick’s career advanced to partnership in 2018 when she took on a partner role at O’Connor & Partners, PLLC. That promotion followed more than a decade of practice in the region and marked a transition into firm leadership and case management responsibilities. Across her career she has practiced in New York, appearing in courts and maintaining licensure in the state. She has maintained ties to local court systems and to the kinds of day-to-day civil and family matters that come through regional offices.
Colleagues describe her as an experienced practitioner who has worked through the ranks of regional law firms, moving from associate positions to a leadership role. Her record shows sustained practice in the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas, reflected in office locations that serve multiple communities. Fitzpatrick’s work has included both salaried associate roles and pro bono advocacy at the Family Court level, demonstrating a mix of private practice and public service experience.
Today she serves as a partner at O’Connor & Partners, PLLC, conducting her practice out of the firm’s Kingston, Poughkeepsie and Newburgh offices. Her current practice operates from the Kingston, Poughkeepsie and Newburgh offices of O’Connor & Partners, PLLC.
