About Andrew

Andrew Steinhaus graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law in 2023. He began his legal studies in 2020 and completed the J.D. program three years later. During law school he combined classroom work with practical legal experience, building the kind of research and drafting skills that young litigators rely on.

In 2021 Steinhaus served as an intern in the 8th Judicial District for the Honorable James Bargnesi. That placement gave him weekday exposure to courtroom procedure, motion practice and judicial decision-making. He worked on bench memos, observed hearings and assisted with legal research for active cases assigned to the judge.

After law school Steinhaus moved into private practice and joined Difilippo, Flaherty & Steinhaus, PLLC. His role at the firm has involved client counseling, document preparation and representation in court when matters required it. Colleagues describe him as a methodical writer who approaches disputes by identifying the central legal questions early and then testing them against the record.

Steinhaus is admitted to practice in New York. That state admission frames the geographic focus of his work and the procedural rules he applies in client matters. He has continued to develop litigation skills, including motion drafting and oral argument, while handling the day-to-day tasks of case management.

Former supervisors highlight his courtroom poise from the internship and early practice years. Steinhaus has combined that courtroom exposure with a steady workload of brief writing and client communications. He has taken assignments that require attention to deadlines and the ability to distill complex factual records into concise legal arguments.

At Difilippo, Flaherty & Steinhaus, PLLC. he works as part of a small team. The firm setting has offered him regular client contact and opportunities to handle all stages of a matter, from intake through resolution. That hands-on environment has shaped his approach to case preparation and client service.

He maintains a practice focused on representing clients in matters arising under New York law. He now practices at Difilippo, Flaherty & Steinhaus, PLLC., handling a range of legal matters for clients in New York.
