About Rebekah L.
Rebekah L. Graham built her legal foundation at Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, earning her Juris Doctor in 2005. She earlier completed a Master of Arts in Public Affairs at the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1999 after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the same campus in 1997. Those academic years set the stage for a career grounded in both public policy and courtroom procedure.
Her first year after law school was spent inside the judicial system. In 2005 she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Loyd Little of the 23rd Judicial Circuit. That clerkship offered daily exposure to judicial decision-making and to the cadence of litigation in state court. The experience also helped shape how she approaches fact development and legal writing in subsequent positions.
In 2006 Graham moved into private practice as a lawyer at Burgess Graham Canupp, the firm formerly known as William P. Burgess, Jr. P.C. She spent years handling matters for clients across Alabama, developing practical skills in client counseling and case management. In 2014 she took an of counsel role at Maynard, Cooper & Gale, P.C., where she worked alongside a larger team and encountered more complex filings and transactional matters than in her earlier practice.
In 2016 she launched her own firm structure, listed as Rebekah L. Graham, L.L.C., and later maintained an office under the name Rebekah L. Graham & Associates. Running a small firm shifted responsibilities beyond client work. She assumed oversight of administrative tasks, case intake, and the business side of legal practice. Those years reinforced the variety of roles a practicing lawyer must manage: advocate, counselor, and manager.
Across more than a decade of work in Alabama, Graham has combined court-side experience from a judicial clerkship with long stretches in private practice. She has experience working in solo and small-firm settings as well as in an of counsel capacity at a regional firm. Throughout her career she has remained active within the state where she is licensed to practice.
Today she operates Rebekah L. Graham & Associates out of her Alabama office and continues to represent clients across the state. Her current practice concentrates on serving individuals and businesses in Alabama.
