He began preparing for law in college. Collins earned a B.A. in Pre-Law from Notre Dame College in 1994. He went on to Boston College Law School and received his J.D. there. Those years shaped his understanding of litigation and the rules that govern criminal procedure.
His professional record traces to MacGregor & Collins, LLP, where he joined as a criminal defense lawyer in 2004 and remains on staff today. That long tenure has given him experience across trial calendars and in courtrooms up and down the state. He is experienced in arraignments, pretrial motions, bench and jury trials, and plea negotiations. He also handles hearings that require careful evidentiary work and procedural strategy.
