About Cambria

Cambria Lisonbee combines a scientific undergraduate background with a legal education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from California State University - California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2003 after beginning her studies in 1999. She later attended Western State University College of Law, completing her Juris Doctor in 2009.

After law school, Lisonbee began practicing in California. Her career has remained rooted in the state. That continuity has given her practical familiarity with state courts, administrative agencies, and the regulatory landscape that governs many professional and commercial activities in California.

Her undergraduate training in nutrition gives her a slightly different perspective than many classmates who came to law from humanities or business backgrounds. That foundation often proves useful when legal questions intersect with health, food, or regulatory compliance. She approaches those issues by translating technical material into clear legal arguments and practical options for clients.

Colleagues describe Lisonbee as methodical in her preparation. She breaks complex problems into manageable parts, then applies statutory text and precedent to each piece. Her work style emphasizes clarity in both written submissions and oral advocacy. Clients and peers note she explains risks and trade-offs plainly rather than relying on legalese. That communication style helps when cases require negotiations or when regulatory authorities demand detailed responses.

Throughout her practice, Lisonbee has handled matters that require attention to procedural detail and substantive state law. She keeps current on developments in California statute and case law and adapts strategies to shifting regulatory expectations. Outside of casework she also spends time reviewing technical materials and consulting with subject-matter experts when a matter calls for scientific or industry-specific knowledge.

She is licensed to practice law in California and continues to work in the state. She currently practices in California, concentrating on matters that arise under state law and administrative regulation.
