About Randeep
Randeep Hira took a conventional route into law but followed his own path once he arrived. He earned a B.A. in History and Liberal Arts from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002. Three years later he completed his J.D. at St. John’s University School of Law in 2005. Those formative years gave him a grounding in legal research and writing, and a broad base in the humanities that he has kept in play throughout his career.
He began practicing in a non-immigration capacity. In 2006 he worked as a contract lawyer through Hudson Global on matters for Dechert LLP. The experience exposed him to large-firm workflows and a range of transactional tasks. By 2010 he had shifted into immigration law, taking a position at George R. Willy, P.C. That move marked a turning point. In 2011 he joined Hira Law PLLC, where he has been listed as an immigration lawyer since that year.
Hira’s work over the last decade and a half centers on immigration. He represents clients in both New York and Texas and handles matters that arise at the intersection of federal immigration rules and state-specific practice. His background in large-firm contract work informs how he manages documentation and case workflow. He approaches cases methodically and tends to emphasize clarity for clients who are often navigating unfamiliar systems.
Outside client files he has taken on roles in professional groups that focus on the immigration bar and on South Asian legal professionals. He has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 2011. Since 2014 he has served as the NSABA liaison for the South Asian Bar Association of Houston, acting as a point of contact between local bar activities and the larger network. Those positions keep him connected to continuing legal education and policy discussions within the immigration community.
He practices in both New York and Texas and maintains an office through Hira Law PLLC. Colleagues and clients describe him as steady and procedural in his approach, and he continues to work on immigration matters across state lines. He currently practices at Hira Law PLLC, where he focuses on immigration matters in New York and Texas.
