About Carl

Carl Stenberg built a legal path that crosses continents. He read law at Queen Mary University of London, completing his LL.B. in 2019. He followed that with an LL.M. at the University of Texas at Austin, awarded in 2020. Those academic years placed him at institutions known for rigorous programs and exposed him to both common law and U.S. legal practice.

After finishing his LL.M., Stenberg took a role as a legal consultant at Global Nuclear Energy (GNE) Advisory in 2020. There he advised on legal questions tied to the energy sector. The position gave him an early taste of complex regulatory and commercial issues that arise in heavily regulated industries.

He moved into private practice soon after. In 2021 he joined Kirkland & Ellis LLP as an associate, where he worked alongside teams handling large-scale corporate matters. Two years later he took an associate position at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. Those years at major firms exposed him to high-stakes transactions, negotiations and the institutional processes of global law practice.

Stenberg is licensed to practice law in Texas. That credential followed his academic training in the United Kingdom and the United States, and it allowed him to move between advisory roles and firm practice. He has experience across advisory work and firm-side representation, and he has navigated both cross-border and domestic matters.

He later established Stenberg Law, PLLC. The firm represents clients on matters that draw on his previous advisory work and his time in big-firm settings. He manages client matters and counsels on legal issues that often touch on corporate and energy-related concerns.

Colleagues describe him as methodical and precise in legal drafting and deal management. He balances an international education with practical experience gained in Washington, D.C.-style advisory work and large U.S. law firms. His practice at Stenberg Law, PLLC reflects that mix of experience. He currently handles corporate and energy-related legal matters in his private practice.
