About Randall
Randall Spencer is a founding partner at Fillmore Spencer LLC, a full-service law firm based in Provo, Utah. He has been practicing law since 1994, focusing on personal injury, criminal defense, civil litigation, and medical malpractice. Over the years, he has represented clients in many cases, from minor traffic violations to complex criminal trials and significant personal injury claims. Mr. Spencer earned his Juris Doctor from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1994. During his time there, he was recognized as a Jessup International Moot Court regional champion and was a member of the Order of the Barristers.
Prior to law school, he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese Studies from Brigham Young University in 1991. His proficiency in Japanese has been an asset in various legal contexts. In his early career, Mr. Spencer clerked for a trial court judge and then worked as a public defender for four years, representing clients in cases ranging from speeding tickets to homicide. His defense of the First Amendment in one case led to a feature story on Court TV. Since entering private practice in 1999, he has expanded his focus to include personal injury cases, such as auto accident claims. Civil litigation involving real estate, contracts, and major business disputes.
Mr. Spencer has been recognized for his legal expertise and community involvement. He has been featured on Court TV, Dateline, 20/20, CNN, and other local and national programs. He has also been voted by his peers multiple times as one of Utah’s Legal Elite by Utah Business magazine. Additionally, he has served as pro bono legal counsel to America’s Freedom Festival at Provo since 1996. He is a member of the Utah State Bar and the Central Utah Bar Association, where he has served as past president. He is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
The Utah Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Spencer is fluent in both English and Japanese. This lets the attorney serve clients effectively. He continues to be actively involved in his community, serving on the Board of Directors for the United Angels Foundation and Kids Who Count.
